New Year- Who helps my decisions?

There are many times that i struggled between two years. At the beginning of this year i said to myself that i would not make any mistakes like i did in the last year. Now i stand and look back there are many mistakes i did. Yet now i am here healthy and happy. Its all because in each moment of pressure in the last year, like a rainbow after every rain fall, i could see the hand of the Lord my God. Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save.

There are many that followed the Lord in the bible. But those that made some decisions are highlighted.

Joshua made a decision that he and his family will serve the Lord alone. Josh. 24:15
David made a decision that he will take care of leading a blameless life. Ps. 101:2
Paul made a decision that he will press on toward the goal.. Phili. 3:14
Peter made a decision that he would not leave the Lord even if others leave. Mt. 26:33

Satan came to both Iscariot and Peter. Peter was addressed by Jesus as Satan. Yet Jesus made him survive because he is a man of decision where as Judas has been an important disciple and never took a loyal decision. Peter could not keep his decision, yet God helped him with it. David could not lead a blameless life but since he took a decision the Lord helped him with it.

Now, I am taking a decision based not on my ability but on my Lord's faithfulness. He helps me through. Oh I am taking my Savior's hand and stepping into this new year with a complete peace. He is Emmanuel.

Lev. 19:18 love your neighbour

In bible language loving someone might be hating the other. When you love sinners, be careful that you might not enter into enemty with God. When you love a sinner, the ultimate goal is to 'call' them for the repentance. Its not difficult because once we were there.

We love people because we love God. God is love. In Old Testament, hating God would result a public punishment. "but repays those who hate Him to their faces, to destroy them; He will not delay with him who hates Him, He will repay him to his face" Dt. 7:10

Intercessor

Job

Job made intercession for his children. It didn't work when they were attacked and killed. Job said that God has closed his ears for his prayers. (Job 19:7).After his sufferings, God commanded his three friends to bring sacrifices yet the Lord will not listen to their prayers but only Job's prayer for them. Now Job can pray for someone. This took a painful week for Job to become an intercessor.

Isa. 53:10 ...the LORD desired to crush him and make him ill.

God desires to crush some one to qualify them to be an intercessor.

My prayers are answered because at the end of my each prayer i mention the name of the One who crushed for me.

Ex. 40. Wait

Moses is a man of much wisdom. Yet he waits for the Lord to tell him when to set up the tent. Every thing was made and ready. Yet he did not haste to set up the tabernacle. We might have desire to do the work of God but most of us need to know that the design, time and order these three things are with the Lord. Today Moses' principles are followed by many countries, David's worship is invading many countries, and Solomon's knowledge is followed by many in the world. With all their highness, Moses can command people to work, David can provide for the temple of God, and Solomon can build the temple but none of them cannot design God's temple. When it comes to design he takes his pen and paper and designs it and later shows it to his servants. They have to learn to wait upon God and then learn what he shows. God gave a date to Moses to set up the tent.

The order of the setting up the things in the tabernacle are like this:
1. Ark of the covenant
2.Table of the shew bread
3. Candle light
4. Golden altar
5. Brazen altar
6. Laver

Why not simply put them in geographical order? No. God's order has some prophetic implications in it. Prayers at the golden altar is qualified through first taking part in the bread and light. That's why he told Moses to set up the table and light first then come to the golden altar. Cleansing at the Laver is qualified by the sacrifice on the Brazen altar so God told Moses to set up the Brazen sacrifice first and then the Laver.

You got the desire. God has the design, time and order.

Champion

A man borrowed 100 dollars for the interest of one dollar per a day. After ten days the lender asked him if he could pay the ten dollars of interest. The debtor said that he got no money and asked him if there is any other option.

Then the lender said to him, "You got to pay me 10 dollars of interest for these ten days. Since you cannot pay, the only option that i got for you is that you will be striped ten times for the ten dollars." The debtor accepted the option. The debtor's wife was also invited. There a man with a whip in his hand, told the husband and wife to count the stripes.

One.. two.. wife is counting the stripes. She is crying and counting. Now the lender looked at the debtor. The debtor seems to be counting differently. More over he  is also looks happy. The lender is confused. He came nearer to hear the debtor. While his wife was counting 1.. 2.. 3 the debtor was counting 10.. 9.. 8. The debtor was counting down while his wife was counting up. The wife was seeing the stripes while debtor was seeing the debt. He saw that his debt is decreasing from ten to zero so his happiness was increasing. Jesus was happy to see his own wounds because it was paying the whole humanity.

Bible has some curses. For example it says "you will build a house but you will not live there". It doesn't seem to me a curse now. I have some stripes that already paid. Now this curse sounds like some millionaire saying to me, "I give you 10 million. Will you be able to spend it in a week?" It's a challenge rather than a curse. It sounds like, "I give you a house. Will you be able to live there?"

There are many people out there living without a leg or a hand. Even those people don't like to be called invalid. They prefer the name "physically challenged". After some one paid the stripes for you, you are a poor man but you say I am rich. You are a weak man but you will say strong. Don't you think its a lie? Yes it's a lie only if I don't see that some one is striped to pay my debts. I am poor that I could not pay but he paid.

A man of paralysis is at peace. Some friends came to him and told him to get ready.

"What happened?" Paralytic asked.

They said there is a prophet called Jesus. "Jesus is here let's go." Four of his friends came along and carried him to the place where Jesus is. Oh, there are many people. It looks like it doesn't work.

Some one told them, "hey why do you wait like this. Even if you are a blind man, some one can help you to go through the crowd. But you are with a cot. It doesn't work. Why don't you go home and come early tomorrow?" Sounds like wise counseling.

The paralytic said, "I am not worrying. I am at peace. Why do you worry. Though I am invalid I am still smiling and at peace. Learn from me. Be at peace. Let's go back. I can still praise God"

One of his friend looked at him and asked, "how long you have been like this?"

The paralytic said, "since four years"

The friend said, "oh, your wife has been experiencing peace from four years!. Your mother had you before her eyes from four years and at peace. That is really great. So you want us to learn this peace. Is it?"

The paralytic was confused. One of the friends said, "hey, this sounds crazy but listen to me. There is only one way that we could enter the house. We go to the top of the house. Then we remove the top and release him down."

The paralytic friend doesn't know what to say. Now they implemented the plan. Jesus healed him.

You are challenged. Prove you are the winner. Do three things:
1. Go to the top of your house culture.
2. Remove the pride top and
3. release yourself before the Lord.

Lose your peace to seek His peace.

I am not cursed. I am challenged. Curses should not be faced but challenges are. You are here on this earth to face the challenges and not to avoid or ignore challenges. Prove you got a champion in you.

Ex. 37:1-9 its all about God.

It's a wood. The trees on a hill are just stayed there like invalid. But God selected a bush to come down and talk to his servant Moses. There came Moses. The staff in Moses' hand thought, "this is a living wood. That is why God is using it". Then it heard that God was saying to Moses to throw down your staff. Moses did. The staff turned into serpent. God said to Moses again, "take it". The staff turned into normal. The staff is very happy. Moses lifted it in Egypt here came plagues. He lifted and they ceased. "Why are you praying Moses? Stretch your staff and divide the sea." God said to Moses. Moses obeyed and the sea divided. The staff understood that it's not about living or dead. It's all about God. He choses and it works.

One day God called Moses and told him to make an Ark with acasia wood. Now it's a wood again.

After a long time a priest who is carrying the ark thought that the Jordan will give way to them like Red Sea gave way to them. He thought that Joshua will use the same principle of stretching the wood. So he hold the wood tight that is on his shoulders. He stood in the front row. When they reached Jordan, Joshua told them to touch the river with your feet. "Did I hear right?" the priest asked himself. Yes he heard right. He touched the river and it was stopped. The priests stayed there until the whole nation crossed the river. This priest wondered, he asked his friend who is carrying along with him "hey it seems our feet has some power". His friend is quiet. Joshua called 12 people. " bring 12 stones from the river and pile them here." Some one asked Joshua, " why sir?" Joshua replied, "the same question will be asked by your sons. Then tell them that how the Jordan was stopped"

They went to bring the stones. Joshua said "bring the stones from the place where the priests' feet are." The young priest thought "certainly something is there in our feet". When these priests carrying the ark came to the bank, the river turned to the previous state. "Yes, there is something in our feet" the priest told to himself again. Next day morning he went to the river alone. The river is flowing well. He looked around. He slowly touched the water with his feet. Nothing happened. He pushed a bit. Nothing seems to be happening. He pushed his feet into the water a little hard. Now he slipped and about to fall down. But someone hold his hand. It was Joshua. Joshua looked at him and said, "there is nothing in your feet. It was presence of God that makes the difference. The power of the presence of God is there in the ark. It can flow through your body. It's not living wood or dead staff. It's not the man or feet. It's all about God"
