Better Covenant

Elijah was privileged to have a great invitation. God sent him fiery chariot pulled by fiery horses.

John the Baptist got the same spirit but he did not get the fiery chariot but fiery sufferings. He was beheaded.

Which one is the better invitation? the former or the latter? What do you think?

There are some people "tortured, not accepting release, to obtain resurrection to a better life." (Heb. 11:35)

New Testament is better than the Old one. It is unique by its sufferings for the One whom we loved. I am looking for a better resurrection. Do you?

Me and Elijah

Bible said that Elijah is same like you and me. Then why i could not do the things he did? Yes he is same like you and me but he did not pray same like you and me. He said to Ahab to go and eat but he Fasted and prayed For rain even after the Lord told him that he is going to send rain! We raise up prayer after God tells us that he is going to send rain.

Hey, you can do it. Just like Elijah do not give up until you see your vision coming true.

(Jas 5:17-18 [NET])
Elijah was a human being like us, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain and there was no rain on the land for three years and six months! Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land sprouted with a harvest.

Ex. 22:1-4 You will never lose

A thief ran into a house. He took a sheep and a bull. He left the house, walked for a while and then sold the bull and killed the sheep and ate. Now he is worthy of 6 kinds of Judgments.(Exodus 22:1-4)
1. Can be killed
2. Can be beaten
3. Can be sold
4. Return what he stole
5. Return two fold
6. Return four fold

One sin and six punishments?

No. Any of those six, depends on the time you caught him. First 3 are punishments and the next 3 are restitution. First three are paid to the one who harmed you and next three are paid by the one who harmed you.

God loves you. He is the judge. He will never let the thief Satan steal from you. Even if you lose anything, God will make a restitution.

Egyptians thought that they got free slaves. God gave them punishments with ten plagues and let them make restitution by giving silver and gold.

The thief Satan took 7000 sheep from Job. God gave 14000. Thief took 3000 camels and God gave 6000. Job 42:12

If you lose anything and you think its late. More late more restitution. It increases.

God might sometimes forgive those who hurt you and cease the punishment but he never stop restitution. Example is here in Exod 21:18 [KJV])

"And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed: If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed."
Laban took 20 years of hard work from Jacob and thought he was brilliant. He was not punished but at the end God gave him more that even Laban's sons said, “Jacob has taken everything that belonged to our father!...” Gen. 31:1

You will never lose. You have a God who loves you.
